abstract = {After superfusion of the celiac ganglia with clonidine (0.01-10 vmol/L). the N type-cholinergic transmission was reversibly depressed. This effect was blocked by yohimbine (10 vmol/L), but was not affected by prazosin (10 vmol/L) and propranolol (10 vmol/L) respectively. It is indicated that clonidine inhibition effect on synaptic transmission is mediated by a2-adrenoceptors. Since ACh potentials decreased when synaptic transmission was depressed by clonidine, clonidine inhibition effect on synaptic transmission is partially related to post-synaptic mechanism.},
