abstract = {Kopsinine is an indole alkaloid. Kopsinine 200 mg/kg is significantly protected mice from liver injury induced by CCl4, paracetamol, thioacetamide and prednisolone. The elevated serum transaminase levels and liver lesions were reduced by kopsinine. In addition, kopsinine markedly promoted liver regeneration and the incorporation of [3H]TdR and [3H]leucine into liver protein and DNA, respectively, in partially hepatectomized mice. The results indicate that kopsinine has a hepatoprotective action in mice.},
