	abstract = {Procainamide given in vitro or in vivo caused an inhibition on ADP-induced blood platelet aggregation. In vitro, procainamide 2, 8, 32, 128, 512, 2048 microg/ml showed their inhibition rates of 18%, 30%, 35%, 37%, 65% and 97%, respectively, in rabbit’s blood, and 11%, 16%, 25%, 32%, 66%, and 92%, respectively, in guinea pig’s blood. In vivo experiments of rabbit, 2, 5, 30, 60 min after iv procainamide (5 mg/kg), the rates of inhibition were 42%, 32%, 30%, and 17%, respectively, and a similar feature in guinea pigs.
The results demonstrated that procainamide inhibited blood platelet aggregation.},
