Circadian effect on gastrodin pharmacokinetics in rats
Abstract
Circadian fluctuations of pharmacokinetic parameters of [3H]gastrodin; Maximal time to reach peak (1.12 h) and the maximal absorption rate constant (4 h-1) appeared when [3H]gastrodin (18.5 MBq/kg) was given intragastrically at 08:00 and 20:00. The area under the plasma radioactivity curve (AUC) was found to be lowest (143*103 cpm/ml.h) when [3H]gastrodin was given at 02:00.
