K, Na, Ca and Mg contents in the diet of Nanjing workers (author's transl)
Abstract
The paper presents the result of a survey of the dietary K, Na, Ca and Mg contents in a group of about 5000 Nanjing workers. The daily K and Ca intakes (1141±176 and 336±51 mg/head, respectively) were far below the recommended nutritional requirements, while the daily Na intake (4087±779 mg/head) greatly exceeded the physiological requirement. The daily Mg intake (270±29 mg/head) was close to the recommended dietary allowance.
